About
Hello! I am a South London based tutor that offers sessions to students of all ages across a range of exam boards, and cover the three main sciences; biology, chemistry and physics.
My expertise includes a Bachelors of Science in Zoology from the University of Roehampton, a keen interest in science, and experience teaching in both one-on-one and secondary school environments.
I believe that every person, both young and old, can expand their understanding of the natural world around them whenever possible, and I have made it my goal to help you and your child build this understanding.

What's Covered
Steps I Will Take
Courses at Moss Tutoring are based on the National Curriculum for Science and cover the main 3 sciences you would come across in a mainstream school; biology, chemistry and physics. I also cover environmental science and the ethics of science, depending on the level of teaching.
Courses at Moss Tutoring cover a wide range of ages and abilities, from 11+ all the way to A-Levels, and cater for AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam board content at both foundation and higher tiers.
In your child's first session, I will talk with both you and your child to determine what knowledge they already have and what they will need to work on. This acts as a trial session and is offered free of charge.
From this, I will make a personalised learning plan for your child and share it with you so that you can keep up to date with what they are learning.
Following your trial session, you may wish to continue attending. Please note that any session following the trial is charged.
What Happens In A Session
Covered Areas
Sessions are one hour long blocks and will be based on the students individual learning plan, where your child will be patiently instructed on scientific principles and methods. These sessions are offered both online and in person, with online sessions at £35 per hour and in person sessions at £40 per hour.
Depending on where students are based, it may not be possible to offer face-to-face sessions, however online sessions are offered to students across the UK.
Areas that are covered by face-to-face sessions currently include the London Borough of Sutton only.
Changing Your Booking
If you cannot attend your session for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible to either reschedule or cancel, 24 hours before the scheduled time.
Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of £10 for both online and in person bookings. This fee does not apply to trial sessions.
